Final Fantasy IX First Look
February 2nd, 2000 -
It's all happening a bit too fast for some, so Final Fantasy: Worlds Apart is here to provide a
comprehensive analysis of all the news tidbits that have been creeping onto the Internet from Square's Millennium
Conference.
The Final Fantasy IX Logo
The Final Fantasy IX logo has finally been shown, and first impressions bring back memories from Final Fantasy V and its
crystal logo seen when you booted the game up.

To show this on your website, please give credit to FF:WA.
The logo seems to be some sort of important artifact, perhaps as crystals were in Final Fantasy V; indeed, the game's main
character, Zotan, can be seen holding it.
Game Details
As you all have seen, Final Fantasy IX will take a much more 'fantasy outlook' with dragons, mages and other things we'd
like to associate with older Final Fantasies, such as grand castles, playing a prominent role.
So far the, the main character is known to be called Zotan, who is most likely male. Three other character's names
have also been seen; Pipi, Garnet, and Steiner.
Mages (as seen on the screenshot to the left), have made a welcome comeback to a Final Fantasy game, with an absence since
Final Fantasy V, complete with their pointy hats and small stature.
